Lee is the only child of Brenda and Barry Wilkinson. Lee had a very close bond with his parents and long before his illness, Lee would often speak of his love and respect for his Mum and Dad and the tremendous foundation they gave him in life. There was rarely a day that passed when Lee did not speak to or see his parents. They were very much the model family. Lee met his wife Jo around 14 years ago when they both worked for the same organisation. It was clear to see, even after only a short period, that Lee had found someone really special, a person who shared his love of life and the person that would share his life from that point onwards. Lee, Jo and Jordan, Jo's son from a previous relationship, became a family, setting up home in Mansfield. Shortly after Freddie arrived, making the family complete. Lee doted on his family and loved nothing more than to have his family and friends around him.
